Baden-Wuerttemberg at EuroMold 2011, the leading international trade fair for tooling, mould making, design and product development

At the 18th EuroMold fair in Frankfurt am Main lasting from 29 November to 2 December 2011, bw-i together with innovative Baden-Wuerttemberg companies and institutions will be presenting Baden-Wuerttemberg as a location for industry and science.

This year, Baden-Wuerttemberg International (bw-i) will be operating a joint stand at EuroMold in Frankfurt for the very first time. In conjunction with innovative Baden-Wuerttemberg companies such as Schirm Metallguss GmbH, Fischer GmbH + Co. KG, Acsys Lasertechnik GmbH, Beiter GmbH & Co. KG and Harald Berfelde GmbH, the agency for the promotion of industry and the economy will be using the Baden-Wuerttemberg stand to showcase Germany's south-west as the leading location for tooling, mould making, design and product development.

Increasing importance of an international orientation in the tooling and mould making sector
In the ongoing focus of globalisation, especially German tooling and mould makers rely on a networking arrangement that is oriented to the needs of the industry. It is therefore enormously important for Baden-Wuerttemberg manufacturers to compare their own performance with that of their competitors abroad. In 2010, EuroMold recorded approximately 55,300 visitors from 86 different countries. This year, 1,500 exhibitors from 45 countries are expected to present their products and services to a wide specialist public of around 60,000 visitors.

Baden-Wuerttemberg – leading location for cutting-edge technologies
Speculation that 2011 will be a further boom year is based on the steadily increasing demand for products and services from the area of product development and additive manufacturing, among other things. Due to their progressive production technologies and their outstanding innovative strength, Baden-Wuerttemberg companies are among the world's best in this particular discipline. One example is the medical technology industry for which analysts are expecting annual growth of nine to ten per cent. Those companies that are active in the tooling and mould making sector and have the corresponding technical competence see a great opportunity. As regards skills relating to precision and surface finishing, tooling and mould makers from the south-west of Germany are ideally equipped for the future and will enjoy excellent opportunities. Today, the health care sector is already the largest employer in Germany with 5.4 million employees - tendency increasing. Baden-Wuerttemberg alone is home to considerably more than 2,000 well-known companies in this sector.

Combined forces promote innovation
In order to intensify the dialogue between industry and science, the use of cluster networks is actively promoted by Baden Wuerttemberg International. A large number of extremely active networks and competence-field organisations together with companies from the different areas of the tooling industry present innovations, bundle synergies and create new market potential for companies and businesses located in the state.

Herbert Bossinger, member of the Management Board of Baden-Wuerttemberg International, invites visitors to EuroMold 2011 to find out more about the location: "Baden-Württemberg offers excellent research facilities, innovative companies and outstanding qualified staff. At EuroMold 2011, the experts of Baden-Württemberg International will be advising companies from Germany and abroad about opportunities for investment and cooperation and will be explaining why the conditions for companies wishing to set up business in Baden-Württemberg are ideal."
The joint Baden-Württemberg stand will also serve as a contact point for students and job applicants in technical professions who want to find out about employment opportunities in the tooling and mould making industry or other technical areas in Baden-Württemberg.
