In October 2007, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission (NDRD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on China–Germany SME cooperation and Management Personnel Training. The aim of the program is to initiate business meetings between China and Germany.

Baden-Württemberg International has the lead of the consortium which is in charge of the organisation and implementation of the program in Germany.

The next Chinese group will be in Germany from June 27th until July 25th, 2009. Amongst others, the participants are operating in the following sectors: mechanical engineering, metal processing, textile industry and renewable energies.
