Baden-Württemberg to present itself at Expo Real 2016 – Europe's biggest trade fair for real estate and investment

Baden-Württemberg International, together with six Baden-Württemberg economic regions, is again participating in Expo Real, which runs from 4 to 6 October 2016 in Munich. On the joint pavilion (B1.222), they will be presenting their investment and real-estate projects to an audience of international trade professionals.

Last year, the annual trade fair Expo Real again showed itself to be the largest European platform for the industry. In 2015, more than 1,700 exhibitors presented their real-estate projects and properties to just under 38,000 participants from 74 different countries, as well as to 1,000 journalists who attended the fair.

In conjunction with Baden-Württemberg International, 50 exhibitors are presenting themselves together at the joint Baden-Württemberg pavilion (No. 222) in Hall B1 this year. They include the regions of Freiburg, Heilbronn-Franken, Nordschwarzwald, Ostwürttemberg, Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg and Tübingen-Reutlingen-Zollernalb. The state bank for Baden-Württemberg, L-Bank, will be providing information on its services and programmes. Other exhibitors at the joint pavilion are Blue Estate GmbH and STEG Stadtentwicklung GmbH.

At stand B1.322, directly opposite the joint pavilion, different communities will be presenting their attractive conversion sites, as they did in the previous year. Heidelberg, Sigmaringen, Donaueschingen, Ellwangen, Meßstetten, Immendingen and Hardheim-Walldürn will be informing trade fair visitors about the wide variety of investment opportunities and providing them with advice on how to take advantage of them.

Other regions in the federal state such as Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Bodensee and Offenburg/Ortenau will also be represented in Hall B1. In Hall C1, the region Rhein-Neckar will be presenting itself.

A special highlight of this year's Expo Real is the visit by Katrin Schütz, the State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Württemberg, on Tuesday 4 October, the very first day of the fair. State Sectretary Schütz will be acquiring information on the projects and real estate properties of exhibitors from Baden-Württemberg during her walkabout through the fair.

At the joint Baden-Württemberg stand (B1.222), there will also be a reception for Baden-Württemberg exhibitors at the invitation of the State Secretary at 5:30 p.m. on the same day. It will provide an opportunity for those attending to exchange experience and ideas with each other privately and in greater detail.

Investing in Baden-Württemberg is worthwhile

According to data of IVD, the German Real Estate Association, the real-estate industry is becoming more attractive. In 2015, total German investments in this sector rose by more than 12 per cent to reach just under 219.4 billion euros, the highest ever level since records first began. In Baden-Württemberg, real-estate properties valued at 32 billion euros were traded. Compared to the previous year, the Baden-Württemberg real-estate industry thus recorded an overall increase of 18.1 per cent. This is the highest rise in the last 15 years.

Investing in Germany's southwest is worthwhile and this is why more than 4,500 foreign companies have already decided to put their money in Baden-Württemberg. Anyone who invests in Baden-Württemberg automatically profits from the growing number of potential industrial customers, the highly developed supplier sector, the opportunity to collaborate with companies in the same or related industries and, above all, our pool of highly qualified workers. Baden-Württemberg is international, cosmopolitan and tolerant. People from 188 nations contribute towards the state's outstanding innovativeness and stimulating cultural mix.
