Baden-Württemberg strongly represented at AEEDC 2015

Baden-Württemberg International is joining together with 19 companies from the dental industry to participate in AEEDC 2015, the Arab Dental Exhibition, which is taking place in Dubai from 17 to 19 February 2015.

After its very successful participation in the last few years, Baden-Württemberg is being represented at this year’s show by a Baden-Württemberg Pavilion. With its simultaneous international dental conference, the AEEDC trade fair attracts 1,400 companies and approximately 30,000 visitors from 132 different countries. This makes it the most important international dental show on the Arabian peninsula. For companies from Baden-Württemberg, the fair is the best platform for showcasing itself on a growing market of the future in this Region.

The Arabian economic area has developed to become an important market for Baden-Württemberg’s dental industry. In 2013, it grew yet again, namely by an enormous 7.5%, leading to positive trade balance for exporters from Baden-Württemberg. The United Arab Emirates, in particular, is a highly developed economy and one of the richest countries in the world. As all medical equipment it requires is imported, Dubai especially is a well-establishing trading hub for medical equipment in the entire Golf region.

Our Exhibitor Brochure provides an overview of the exhibitors in the Baden-Württemberg pavilion at AEEDC 2015.

Baden-Württemberg – An excellent location for research and Innovation
The strength of Baden-Württemberg’s medical equipment manufacturers is their great capability for innovation. More than 50 per cent of turnover is achieved with products that have been on the market for less than three years. This is enabled by the outstanding array of universities and research institutes, among other things. Particularly worth of mention in this regard are Tuttlingen, Heidelberg, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart and Freiburg as locations for medical technology. They ensure a continuous supply of highly qualified staff and conduct highly intensive research in the area of medical technology. Around 27 per cent of medical technology graduates in Germany obtain their degree at higher-education institutes in Baden-Württemberg. Altogether, around 80 universities, educational facilities and research institutes engage in research and development in the area of medical technology.
