Hannover trade fair 2012: Baden-Württemberg, the technology location, presents innovative solutions
Together with around 100 innovative companies, universities, research institutions as well as regions and municipalities, Baden-Württemberg International (bw-i) will be presenting Baden-Württemberg as a location for business and science in the areas "Industrial Supply", "Re-search and Technology", "MobiliTec" and "Energy" at the Hannover trade fair from 23 to 27 April 2012.
Baden-Württemberg as a location for industry – Tradition meets innovation
For years, Baden-Württemberg has enjoyed a reputation as one of the most innovative regions worldwide in respect of its parts-supply industry. This reputation will be confirmed by the Baden-Württemberg presentation at the "Industrial Supply" fair. Here, an international public of specialists from the industry will be able to visit the Baden-Württemberg stand (E24) in hall 4 to find out about efficient and energy-saving product technologies from the area of industrial parts-supply solutions and will also have an opportunity to exchange ideas and experience. Almost 50 innovative companies as well as numerous company locations, including the economic regions of Stuttgart, Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg and Nordschwarzwald as well as the agency for economic promotion of the city of Pforzheim will be represented on the joint stand this year.

In addition, there will be a joint stand of bw-i together with e-mobil BW and the Allianz Faserbasierte Werkstoffe Baden-Württemberg e.V. on stand B23 in hall 6, which will particularly be showing the innovative strength and capabilities of Baden-Württemberg in the area of lightweight construction.

Close interconnection of industry and research
The intensive collaboration between industry and research is an important factor for the success of Baden-Württemberg as a location. Numerous new joint research projects year after year repeatedly enliven the market for industrial applications. On the joint Baden-Württemberg stand in hall 2 "Research & Technology", eight universities and research institutions from Baden-Württemberg will be participating. Solutions to the problems of a changing world will be shown here and innovative projects and developments will be presented.

Outstanding know-how for sustainable mobility solutions of the future
For the second time, bw-i will be participating in MobiliTec on a joint stand with e-mobil BW, the state agency for electro-mobility and fuel cell technology. Together with 18 Baden-Württemberg companies, universities, clusters and the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation, they will be in hall 25, presenting Baden-Württemberg's potential in the area of alternative mobility solutions and electro-mobility – an area to which the future belongs in view of the increasing shortage of conventional energy sources and the globally growing need for mobility.

Renewable energy as a field of innovation
In the framework of the Hannover trade fair 2012, bw-i and the Wind Cluster Baden-Württemberg will also be appearing jointly for the first time in the "Energy" section, the leading international show for renewable and conventional forms of energy. Baden-Württemberg companies as well as the Cluster Green City Freiburg will be represented on the joint stand in hall 27, where they will be presenting their products and concepts for the energy sector, which is currently undergoing a process of transformation all over the world.

Political visit to the Baden-Württemberg joint stands
In the framework of the Hannover trade fair, numerous foreign delegations composed of politicians and businessmen will again be visiting the Baden-Württemberg stands. Special highpoints will be the visits of Minister President Winfried Kretschmann on 23 April and State Secretary in the Ministry for Finance and Economics Ingo Rust on 24 April 2012.
State Secretary Rust will also be talking to the international public on the innovative potential of the German southwest as a location for industry within the context of a presentation on the joint Baden-Württemberg stand at the "Industrial Supply" show. The presentation will be given on stand E24 in hall 4 at 12:30 p.m. on 24 April.
