Qualified personnel for your company

Well trained and educated skilled personnel are one of the most important factors for locations in your region.
bw-i helps you and your companies to find the qualified personnel that are urgently needed.

Among all the federal states in Germany, Baden-Württemberg is the most affected by the lack of engineers. Acording to the 'Skilled Worker Monitor' of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Stuttgart, there is an average shortage of up to 200,000 skilled workers per year in the southwest. Future demographic developments will intensify this shortage of qualified personnel even more.

The range of projects of bw-i in the framework of the 'Alliance for Qualified Employees' stretches from the establishment of a communication platform (www.bw-jobs.de) and measures to create a welcoming culture for foreign students at colleges and universities in Baden-Würtemberg, to participation in recruitment measures in Germany and abroad, and the generation of synergies through the inclusion of skilled-employee recruitment as a theme of joint company stands at national and international trade fairs.

Alliance for Qualified Employees Baden-Württemberg

Alliance for Qualified Employees Baden-Württemberg

Coordinating with the Ministry of Finance and Economics, the state government has set up an alliance for qualified employees in Baden-Württemberg, the goal being to secure the supply of skilled and qualified employees. This alliance unites all partners in Baden-Württemberg who help to secure the supply of skilled and qualified employees for medium-sized companies.
The partners in the alliance pursue ten specific objectives aimed at ensuring the supply of trained and qualified employees for medium-sized companies in the state. An evaluation of the extent to which these objectives are achieved is to be carried out annually on the basis of the data available at the beginning of 2010.

The objectives of the alliance for skilled employees:

  1. To enhance professional training
  2. To expand the range of opportunities for further professional training
  3. To increase the number of women in employment
  4. To increase the number of older people in employment
  5. To integrate people with an immigration background more closely into the labour market
  6. To reduce unemployment, especially long-term unemployment
  7. To increase the level of full-time employment
  8. To increase the number of employees in engineering, a profession in which there is a notable shortage of qualified workers
  9. To facilitate the immigration of people qualified in selected professions
  10. To set up regional alliances for qualified employees
